How to Fold the Back Seats of a Dodge Durango

For these reasons, it is a popular choice for large families and individuals who need to frequently transport large objects in the interior of the vehicle. Fortunately, the back seats of the Durango fold into a completely horizontal position to increase the storage capacity of the vehicle. Folding all of the seats down is a straightforward process.
Folding Middle-Row Seats
Step 1
Open the rear driver's side door.
Step 2
Locate the handle on the bottom of the middle-row seat. It will be on the side that is directly in front of you.
Step 3
Life the handle while simultaneously pushing the seat into a flat position.
Step 4
Open the rear passenger's side door.
Step 5
Locate the handle on the bottom of the middle-row seat. It will be on the side that is directly in front of you.
Step 6
Life the handle while simultaneously pushing the seat into a flat position.
Folding Back-Row Seats
Step 1
Climb into the center of the vehicle, on top of the folded middle row of seats.
Step 2
Pull up and toward you on one of the straps on the seat cushion of the back row of seats. The cushion of the seats should slide forward until they are touching the folded middle row of seats.
Step 3
Pull the seatback of the back-row seats into a horizontal position, in line with the back-row cushion and the middle row of seats. The entire rear portion of the vehicle should now be flat.

- Use the lever on the side of the middle-row seats to recline the seats as well.
- When restoring seats from the flat position, always start with the back-row seats.
