How to Remove a Honda Fit Seat
by Russell WoodThe Honda Fit has surged in popularity because of its low gas mileage and space-saving size, plus its low purchasing price. If you want to either replace the front seats in your Fit for a different model or just get the seat out of the way so you can clean the carpet, the process isn't very difficult and can be done in a short amount of time with basic hand tools. This process should take about 15 minutes per seat to do.
Step 1
Unbolt the base of the seat from the floor of the Honda Fit using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. There are four bolts on each side, and you may need to slide the seat forward or backward to get access to the bolts.
Step 2
Lean the top of the seat forward so that you can access the wiring harness underneath the seat. Unplug the harness from the vehicle wiring harness using your hands to separate the clips.
Step 3
Lift the seat out of the car by lifting with your legs and pulling the seat out, top first.
