How to Open the Honda Accord Rear Seat
by Robin SarmientoThe Honda Accord offers some flexibility in terms of cargo capacity through its folding rear seats. Folding the rear seats down will allow you to load items that would otherwise not fit in the standard configuration of its trunk.
Step 1
Enter the Accord through a rear door.
Step 2
Find the lock of the rear seat. It is located on the flat surface in the area between the top of the rear seat and the rear window.
Step 3
Insert the vehicle key into the lock and turn. If your Accord's rear seat is split, turning the key one way unlocks the seatback on that side. Turn it the other way to unlock the seatback on the other side.
Step 4
Flip the rear seat down to allow access to the trunk.
