How to Set the Time on a Digital Clock in a Toyota Corolla
by Leonardo R. GrabkowskiThe digital clock for most modern cars is built into the radio. This isn't the case with the Toyota Corolla. Its clock is located in the instrument cluster, next to the speedometer, odometer and engine revolution meter. You'll use the instrument cluster "Trip" stem to set the digital clock. This is the button used to switch the odometer view between the odometer mileage and the trip mileage.
Step 1
Start the Corolla's engine, or turn the key to "On." Locate the trip stem in the corner of the instrument cluster. Press and hold the trip stem. After a few seconds, the "Minute" digits start to flash.
Step 2
Tap the trip stem to advance the minute digits. Stop tapping when the minute shows the correct time.
Step 3
Wait five seconds. The "Hour" digit will now flash. Tap the trip stem to advance the hour. When you are finished, wait five seconds for the system to exit the clock-setting menu.
