How to Change the Clock in a Jeep

by Megan Mattingly-Arthur

Having the digital clock in your Jeep vehicle display the incorrect time can be frustrating if you don't know how to change it. Luckily, the setting process for your Jeep clock is simple and uses the clearly marked, clock-setting buttons located on the audio systems panel. The entire process to change the time on your Jeep clock takes just seconds.

Step 1

Stick your key into the Jeep's ignition cylinder and turn it to the "ACC" ignition position.

Step 2

Locate the clock-setting buttons on the Jeep's audio systems panel. Note that you should see a "Time" button, as well as two small, depressed buttons labeled "H" for hours and "M" for minutes.

Step 3

Press the "Time" button to access the vehicle's clock-setting mode.

Step 4

Use the tip of a ballpoint pen to press the depressed "H" button repeatedly until the correct hours value is displayed on the Jeep's digital screen.

Step 5

Press the depressed "M" button repeatedly to set the minutes digits to the correct value.

Step 6

Turn the key to the "Off" ignition position to complete the clock-setting process. Remove the key from the Jeep's ignition cylinder.
