How to Reset a Remote Starterby Matthew Fortuna
Remote starters have become popular accessories on cars and trucks around the world. This technology is used to engage your car's ignition and start the vehicle from inside of your house or as far as a couple hundred feet away in the street or in the parking lot. You can set or reset the remotes to your engine in just a few minutes from your driver's seat.
Enter your car with your starter and ignition key and leave the driver's door open.
Insert your key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position.
Press and hold the "Valet" button on your remote and wait for the horn to chirp.
Press and hold the "Valet" button again and press and release the starter button on your remote.
Wait for the horn to chirp again and release the "Valet" button to end the programming sequence.
