How to Remove a Scion TC Rear Bumperby Carl Pruit
In order to customize or replace the rear bumper of your Scion TC, you will need to remove the factory bumper. There are a number of bumper styles for the Scion TC to help you design the look you want. The rear bumper of the Scion is attached with pushpins and plastic clips that can be removed without too much trouble. You can remove the rear bumper yourself in about 30 minutes, saving you time and money.
Set the parking brake. Unfasten the two screws (one on each side) inside the rear wheel wells that secure the rear bumper to the frame of the TC. The rear wheel wells are the void spaces in the frame where the tires sit.
Pry the four pushpins from the bottom of the rear bumper with a screwdriver. Unfasten the two screws on the top of the rear bumper with a screwdriver and remove the screw hats from under the screws.
Pull the rear bumper away from the vehicle frame. Carefully detach the 10 plastic clips that are attached to the bumper.
Remove the rear bumper from the Scion TC and set it out of the way.
