How to Program a Saab Remote Transmitter
by Matthew FortunaA popular line of Swedish automobiles, Saab vehicles feature most of the latest automotive technologies. You can control your Saab's doors, locks, trunk, engine and panic alarm using the remote transmitter and keyless entry remotes. Whether you have the transmitter installed standard by the dealership or added aftermarket, you can program your Saab transmitter by syncing the remotes to the transmitter. All you need are your ignition key and the remote.
Step 1
Enter your car in the driver's seat with both your keyless remote and your ignition key.
Step 2
Insert the key into the ignition and pull the multifunction lever toward you and hold it.
Step 3
Turn the key in the ignition to the "ON/RUN" position and cycle it from there to the "LOCK/OFF" position twice.
Step 4
Release the multifunction lever while your key is still in the "LOCK/OFF" position. Wait to hear the locks cycle and the horn chirp twice.
Step 5
Press the lock button on each remote you would like to program within 30 seconds of the beginning of the programming sequence. After pressing the button on each remote, wait for the locks to again respond by cycling. Remove the key from the ignition to end the programming sequence.
