How to Toubleshoot an Avital Remote Starter

Avital is one brand of remote starter that features easy-to-use keyless remotes. These remotes can be programmed wirelessly to your engine and then added to your keychain. Once programmed, you will be able to use the remote from as far as a couple hundred feet away in your house, the street or a parking lot. If your remote is not working, you can troubleshoot the remote and get it resynced in seconds.
Step 1
Enter your car, leave your driver's door open and insert your key into the ignition.
Step 2
Turn the ignition to the "On" position and press and release the "Valet" button on your remote.
Step 3
Press and hold the "Valet" switch again after releasing the first time and wait for the system's siren to chirp and the LED light to blink.
Step 4
Continue holding the "Valet" button and then press the starter button on your remote.
Step 5
Wait for another chirp and release both buttons to complete the process.
