How to Program a Karr Alarm Remote
by Matthew FortunaAlarm remotes are common security features on many cars, and the Karr alarm system can be programmed almost universally to most makes and models. Once you have your system installed by an automotive store or mechanic, you can program the remotes yourself in just minutes while sitting in your driver's seat. The programming process requires only your ignition key and a few clicks of the buttons on your remote.
Step 1
Sit in your car with your Karr remote. Turn your ignition key in the ignition to the "On" position.
Step 2
Move the valet switch on the alarm system to "On" and then back to "Off" three times. Wait for the LED light on the system to flash and then emit a chirp sound.
Step 3
Hold down the transmitter button on the remote for three seconds. Then hold down button number two for three seconds.
Step 4
Wait for the system to chirp again. Remove your key from the ignition to complete the process.
