How to Replace the Key in the Chrysler Crossfire Key FOB
by Matthew FortunaElectronic key FOBs are common automotive accessories. This technology features remote buttons and an ignition key that can be synced to your car's engine. You can replace the keys for your Chrysler Crossfire by getting new ones cut by the dealership, and then programming them from your car's driver's seat. This process requires no experience or professional equipment.
Step 1
Purchase a new electronic key FOB from your Chrysler dealership that is cut to your car's ignition.
Step 2
Enter your car, insert the key in the ignition and turn it to the "Run" position.
Step 3
Press and hold the "Unlock" button on your remote for four seconds, and then press the "Panic" button at the same time.
Step 4
Hold both buttons for one second, and then release both buttons.
Step 5
Wait for the car to emit a chiming sound, and then press and hold any button on the remote part of the key FOB.
Step 6
Hold the button until the car chimes again. This will indicate successful programming and you can turn the ignition key back to the "Off" position.
