How to Program Keyless Entry on a Buick Rendezvous
by Kathryn HatterIf the keyless entry on your Buick Rendezvous fails due to damage or a glitch, you can try to manually fix it before resorting to hiring professional assistance to reprogram it. Have all fobs that are used with the Buick in your possession while you try this, because you will have to reprogram each fob once the lock is reprogrammed.
Step 1
Close all doors of the Buick. Turn the ignition off. Take the ignition key out of the ignition. Press and hold the door lock button of the driver's door in the unlocked position.
Step 2
Continue to hold the door lock button down and insert the key into the ignition. Remove the key without turning the key in the ignition. Repeat this action two more times in exactly the same manner, except the third time, leave the key in the ignition.
Step 3
Release the door lock button. You should now hear three beeps that signal the program mode is activated.
Step 4
Press both the lock and unlock buttons together on the keyless fob. Hold them down for about 5 seconds. You should hear another two beeps that signals that the fob has been reprogrammed.
Step 5
Repeat the same process with all other keyless fobs. When this has been completed, remove the key from the ignition and check that all of the keyless entry fobs work with the Buick Rendezvous.
