How to Program an AM6 Remote Starterby Matthew Fortuna
Once it's installed on your car, you can program a remote yourself for many different kinds of systems. AM6 is one common line of keyless systems. The programming sequence can be done in minutes with just your remote and ignition key.
Sit in the driver's side seat and leave the driver's door open. Turn your key to the "Run" position to engage the starter transmitter.
Press the "Valet" button on your remote. Wait for the car system to chirp. Press and hold the "Valet" button again while pressing the starter button on the remote..
Release the starter and "Valet" buttons after the system chirps again.
Turn the key back to the "Off" position and wait for another chirp to complete the process.
