How to Change the Clock Time on a 2005 Chevy Malibu
by Leonardo R. GrabkowskiThe 2005 Chevrolet Malibu's clock time doesn't automatically adjust when you enter another time zone, nor does it automatically adjust for DST (Daylight Savings Time). For these reasons, you may need to change the clock's time every now and then. The clock may also require re-setting after the car's battery is replaced. You can set the 2005 Chevy Malibu's clock using the radio buttons.
Step 1
Push the "Clock" button in the bottom-right corner of the Malibu's radio. The clock's hour digit will start to flash.
Step 2
Turn the "ADJ" knob to the right or left to adjust the hour to the right time. Push "Clock" again when you are finished adjusting the hour. The clock's minute digit now flashes.
Step 3
Turn the "ADJ" knob to adjust the minute to the right time. Push "Clock" to save the time.

Tips
- The clock does not differentiate between AM and PM.
- The clock can be adjusted with the ignition on or off.
- Some models have a feature called RDS (labeled on radio). If your Malibu has this feature, you can synchronize the time with the broadcast time of a radio station. Simply tune to an FM station, then press and hold "Clock." You can still manually set the clock, if you wish.
