Sometimes, after changing the oil in your 2006 Sienna, you may notice that the MAIN REQD light is still on. The light, which indicates when you need an oil change, typically comes on approximately every 5,000 to 7,500 miles. To turn the light off, you need to reset it by following a few easy steps.

Step 1

Start your car and wait for the LCD odometer display to come up to the left of your steering wheel. Then, set the odometer to total mileage, rather than trip A or B, by pushing down the PUSH ODO/TRIP button until ODO comes up on the display.

Step 2

Turn off the car, and hold down the odometer button. Turn the key to the on position without starting the car.

Step 3

Wait for the maintenance light to blink and go out, while still holding down the button. Finally, release the button and turn the key to the off position. Your maintenance light should now be reset.
