How to Replace the Dome Lights in a Mitsubishi Outlander
by Tara KimballThe Mitsubishi Outlander debuted in 2003 as a modification of the Mitsubishi Airtrek. The interior lights illuminate the passenger compartment for added visibility and safety in dimly lit areas. The dome light bulb is an 8-watt bulb available at auto parts stores and Mitsubishi dealers. Replace the bulb yourself for a fraction of the cost of a repair center.
Step 1
Insert a small flat-bladed screwdriver into the small indent on the dome light cover. Pry the cover off, releasing the retaining clips.
Step 2
Pull the existing bulb out of the socket. Push a new dome light bulb into the socket until it is secure.
Step 3
Line up the cover, starting on the edge opposite the indent. Press firmly until the cover snaps into place.
