How to Replace a Battery in a 2002 Chrysler Sebring
by Robert GoodThe Chrysler Sebring is a full-size sedan with a six-cylinder engine. The battery is inside the engine compartment on the driver's side. A plastic cover conceals the battery and a metal brace secures it in place. You can buy the replacement battery at any auto store for around $50.
Step 1
Loosen the nut on the negative cable (black wire) using using the box wrench. Pull the wire off the battery, and repeat the process for the positive cable (red).
Step 2
Remove the screw from the right side of the metal brace using the screwdriver. Pull the brace off the battery, and pull the battery from the engine compartment.
Step 3
Place the new battery into the engine compartment. Place the metal brace over the new battery and secure it using the screw. Reconnect the cables to the battery the opposite way that you disconnected them.
