How to Program a Toyota Rav4 Smart Key

The Toyota Rav4 is a sport utility vehicle (SUV) that offers a number of accessories and capabilities. Among these are the ignition and transponder keys that are used to start your car. You can program the keys so that they will be able to start your vehicle from the ignition slot.
Step 1
Close all of your car's doors and windows, and lock and unlock the driver's door using your chip key.
Step 2
Insert your transponder key into the ignition and wait for the security light to illuminate.
Step 3
Leave your key in the ignition for 15 seconds after the security light turns on.
Step 4
Press the brake pedal five times after 15 seconds to complete the programming process and you can remove the key from your ignition.
