How do I Replace a 2007 Buick Rendezvous Cigarette Lighter Fuse?

The cigarette lighter socket on a 2007 Buick Rendezvous may have neared extinction as fewer and fewer people smoke cigarettes. However, with the onset of portable electronic devices the cigarette lighter socket has seen new life in the Buick, as well as most other American production vehicles. A fuse protects the lighter circuit from damage should it encounter a voltage spike or short. Damaged electrical chargers, plugged into the socket often blow the fuse. Anyone with mechanical aptitude and a few moments of free time can replace the cigarette lighter fuse in a 2007 Buick Rendezvous.

Step 1

Open the hood and open the fuse box. The fuse box is on the right side of the engine bay.

Step 2

Remove fuse #32 with the fuse puller.

Step 3

Insert a new fuse into slot #32. Close the fuse box and close the hood.
