How to Disable the Alarm on a 2007 Camry
by David ClairMany models of the 2007 Toyota Camry are equipped with an alarm system that uses audible and visual signals when it is triggered. The system monitors sensors throughout the Camry to detect attempts at unauthorized entry. If the alarm system is disabled, the sensors will not trigger alarms when they are activated. The alarm system may need to be disabled when the Camry is with a mechanic or if it is being valet parked. The system can be reactivated at any time.
Step 1
Press the "Unlock" button on the keyless entry device to turn off the alarm if it has been triggered.
Step 2
Turn the ignition switch off.
Step 3
Press and hold the "Valet/Override" button beneath the steering column toward the driver's door.
Step 4
Turn the ignition switch to start the engine.
Step 5
Release the "Valet/Override" button when the confirmation signal is heard. The alarm system is disabled.
