How to Disable the Ford Crown Vic OEM Alarms
by David ClairSome models of the Ford Crown Victoria come equipped with factory-installed theft-deterrent alarm systems, or original equipment manufacturer (OEM) alarms. These alarm systems activate an audible alarm and visual alerts by flashing the turn signals when triggered. Once the alarm system has activated, you must disable it to turn it off and start the engine; you can do this with a simple turn of the key. You can then rearm the alarm when you need to.
Step 1
Insert the key into the driver-side door lock.
Step 2
Turn the key to the right to lock the doors.
Step 3
Turn the key to the left to unlock the driver's door; you have now reset and disabled the alarm.
