How to Program the Phone in a 2002 Jaguar X-Type

Bluetooth capability in the Jaguar X-Type is both convenient and safe. Your 2002 Jag X-Type was produced before Bluetooth was introduced to the Jag, but it did come with the option of having a handset that works similarly to modern-day Bluetooth. Your Jag is equipped with a handset cradle that is attached to the interior of your center console. Your incoming and outgoing calls are registered on a touch screen, where you can also dial phone numbers and view the caller ID.
Step 1
Turn on the vehicle to begin programming your phone to work with your 2002 Jaguar X-Type. Phones only work when the vehicle is turned on.
Step 2
Open the center console of your Jaguar X-Type. Place your phone into the handset cradle. Ensure your phone is correctly connected by looking at the screen of your phone to see if it is lit up.
Step 3
Use the dashboard keypad to make and receive calls. Your phone's caller ID, memory and the rest of its information is automatically transferred to your car's dashboard screen as long as it is connected properly to the handset cradle.
