How to Program a Keyless Entry Pad on a Mercury Mariner
by Tara KimballThe Mercury Mariner keyless entry system includes a keyless entry remote as well as a keypad entry system on the driver's door. Along with the factory-programmed entry code, you can program as many as three additional entry codes for different drivers. Select and store the code yourself to protect your privacy and avoid paying an expensive programming fee.
Step 1
Enter the five-digit code programmed into the keypad from the factory. Find the key code in the card stored in the glove box of your Mariner.
Step 2
Press the "1-2" button on the keypad immediately after inputting the factory code.
Step 3
Enter the five-digit key code you wish to store for your keyless entry system within five seconds of pressing the "1-2" button.
