How to Program a 474T Keyless Remote
by Matthew FortunaThe 474T keyless remote is a replacement transmitter commonly used with a variety of vehicles. This universal FOB remote can be programmed to your car's keyless entry system if your dealer remotes have been lost or broken. Programming your 474T remote can be done in just minutes from your home using only the remote itself and your ignition key. The remote will allow you to access your locks, trunk, panic alarm and engine starter from as far as a couple hundred feet away.
Step 1
Enter your vehicle with your remote and ignition key in hand and close all of the doors behind you.
Step 2
Open one door and insert the key into the ignition. Turn the key to the "On" position.
Step 3
Press and release the Valet/Program button on your remote one time if your car has a remote starter and seven times if there is no remote starter.
Step 4
Press and hold the Valet/Program button (after pressing the button one time or seven times) and wait for the indicator light to flash the same number of times that you pressed the button. Continue holding the button and wait for the car to respond by emitting a chirping sound.
Step 5
Press and release any button on your remote while continuing to hold the Valet button, and wait for the unit to chirp again. You can then release the Valet button and your programming will be complete.
