How to Program a Chrysler Sebring Key
by Caroline AdamsHaving keyless entry to a Chrylser Sebring is not only convenient, it also provides additional safety. Problems can occur, however, that require you to reprogram the keyless entry fob. Reprogramming does not require any special technical training, automotive skill or talent. Just locate the data link connector and follow the steps and your Chrysler Sebring key fob will be programmed again.
Step 1
Push the lock button on the key fob five times at two-second intervals to program the keyless entry key fob.
Step 2
Place the key into the ignition and turn it to the "Run" position without cranking the engine. Wait for the ignition chimes to cease before proceeding.
Step 3
Press and hold the "Unlock" button on the remote for four to 10 seconds. While still pressing the unlock button, press the "Panic" button for one second. Release both buttons. Chimes will sound within three seconds to indicate that the programming has been entered.
Step 4
Press and release both the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons simultaneously, then just the "Unlock" button. A chime will sound indicating that the remote is programmed. Repeat this same procedure for any other keyless remote fobs that require programming.
Step 5
Turn off the car and test the keyless remotes that were programmed.
