Car Shows at Vero Beach, Florida

Dodgers spring training camp, "Dodgertown," until 2008, Vero Beach is also the site of several car shows. Notable residents of the area include musicians Prince, Gloria Estefan and Jon Bon Jovi; novelist Carl Hiassen; and actor Sylvestor Stallone.
Downtyme Custom Car Show
Hosted in February, the Downtyme Custom Car Show features specialty, custom-made minitrucks. The event is both an opportunity for car enthusiasts to compete and also memorial for those past minitruckers who have lost their lives. The Downtyme Custom Car Show was created to replace FarmFest, a similar custom car show that lasted for five years. Registration for the Downtyme Custom Car Show is $20, and judges will award 25 custom designed cars and trucks with trophies.

Classic Car Show with The Renegade Cruisers
On the third monday of each month, the Renegade Cruisers Classic Car Club hosts a car show featuring nostalgic pre-1985 vehicles at the Indian River Plaza in Vero Beach. The event runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and is free to all. Live music is provided and two trophies are awarded at each event. Sponsors for the event include Advanced Auto Parts, M & R Customs, Rainbow Plumbing, Little Ceasars Pizza and many other local businesses.

Exotic Car Show
Hosted in February, the Vero Beach Exotic Car Show showcases Lotuses and other exotic cars. The event is free for exhibitors, but visitors must pay a $5 admission price. The proceeds of the show benefit the Gifford Youth Activity Center. The event is hosted at Riverside Park, next to the famous Riverside Theater, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No awards or trophies are offered at this event.
