What Does HHR Mean in Chevy HHR?

by Christopher John

The Chevrolet HHR is a compact wagon produced by General Motors. The HHR began production in the summer of 2005 and was introduced in 2006. Its design was inspired by earlier Chevrolet vehicles.

The Meaning of HHR

HHR stands for "Heritage High Roof." At first glance, the Chevrolet HHR may look similar to the PT Cruiser. However, the compact, retro design that the HHR refers to was inspired by the styling of the 1949 Chevrolet Suburban.

Competitors

Chevrolet currently lists three other vehicles as comparable competitors to the HHR: the Scion xB, the Kia Rondo and the Mazda 5.

Features
