How to Bypass Running Lights on a Chevy Tracker
by Daniel ValladaresThe Chevrolet Tracker, also known as the Geo Tracker, is a small SUV produced by Chevrolet. The Tracker is equipped with daytime running lights that turn on the high-beam headlights at a reduced power setting in order to increase the visibility of the vehicle throughout the day. Daytime running lights are required by law in Canada, but if you wish to disable them, you can do so simply by disconnecting the DRL fuse in the passenger compartment fuse panel.
Step 1
Turn the Tracker's engine off and open the driver's door.
Step 2
Use a slotted screwdriver to pry off the cover from the fuse panel situated to the left and below the steering wheel.
Step 3
Use the fuse puller tool to remove the fuse labeled "DEF." When you wish to reinstall the running lights, simply reinstall the fuse.
Step 4
Reattach the cover to the fuse panel and close the door.
