How to Repair a G35 Headlight Fuse

by Tara Kimball

If the headlights fail on your Infiniti G35 and you have ruled out the bulbs as the source of the problem, the headlight fuse may need replacement. If a fuse burns out, the circuit is no longer complete so the headlights do not receive the power necessary to function. Change the fuse at home, and your lights may be back up and running in minutes.

Step 1

Turn the ignition switch to the off position and remove the key from the ignition. Confirm that the headlight switch is in the off position.

Step 2

Sit in the driver seat and pull the cover off the fuse panel at the base of the dashboard near the driver door.

Step 3

Locate the headlight fuse. Facing the fuse panel from the driver seat, count to the fourth fuse over from the right side in the bottom row. Grasp the fuse with the fuse puller and pull it straight up out of the slot.

Step 4

Line up the new 10-amp fuse so it inserts straight into the fuse panel. Push the fuse all the way into place. Snap the cover back on the fuse panel.
