How to Get UConnect for My 2007 Dodge Nitro

The Mopar UConnect system is a Bluetooth accessory for Dodge and Chrysler vehicles. The system was available as a factory option on Dodge and Chrysler vehicles starting with the 2007 model year. If your 2007 Nitro did not come with the UConnect feature, you can visit a Dodge dealer to purchase the system and have it installed and synchronized with your Nitro's radio. Once you do this, you'll be able to activate and set up the UConnect system to make hands-free calls.

Step 1

Find a Dodge dealer in your area. Check your local listings or use the handy "Find a Dealer" tool on the official Dodge website. Enter your zip code to find the contact information for Dodge dealers in your area.

Step 2

Call the Dodge dealer and ask for the service and parts department. Speak with the representative and inquire about the UConnect system for your 2007 Dodge Nitro. Tell the representative you'd like to have UConnect installed. Ask how much the dealer charges for the system and for installation.

Step 3

Contact another Dodge dealer to compare prices, if desired. By calling other dealers in your area and comparing prices, you may be able to get a better deal on the UConnect system.

Step 4

Make an appointment with the representative to have the system installed. The representative may have to order the system if he doesn't have it in stock. If this is the case, you may have to schedule your appointment a few days later, when the system is set to arrive.

Step 5

Ask the dealer to guide you through the process of setting up and activating the UConnect system with your cell phone. If you don't have time for this, or if the dealer is unwilling to help you, you can set the system up yourself.

Step 6

Push the "Phone" button on your UConnect key fob to begin activating the feature. Speak "Set Up" after the beep. Speak "Phone Pairing" then "Pair a Phone."

Step 7

Open the Bluetooth interface on your cell phone. This is usually accessed through the "Settings" or "Connection" menu. If you have trouble, check your phone's user guide. The procedure varies from phone to phone.
