How to Turn Off Toyota Emergency Flashers
by Michelle VarsallonaEmergency flasher lights on a car are for exactly what it seems: emergencies. When your car breaks down on the side of the road or you need to make an emergency stop, turning on your emergency lights warns people to be careful while driving around you. All cars have the emergency lights. If you have used your Toyota's flashers, you also need to know how to turn them off when you are ready to drive again or when the emergency ends.
Step 1
Locate the emergency flasher button on the dashboard. It's typically located in the center of the dash. It is a large button with a red triangle.
Step 2
Press the button to turn off the flashers.
Step 3
Check your gauges behind the steering wheel. The blinker indicators should be off and the “ticking” sound should have ended.
