The Suzuki Vinson 500 4X4 ATV is a combination work-utility vehicle and a recreational off-road four wheeler. It has low end torque for towing and pulling power, with enough horsepower for performance trail-riding. The sport-utility model ATV has many practical features, including front and rear cargo racks with a front bumper suitable for a winch attachment and a front fender-mounted 12V-120W electrical outlet for plugging in accessories.
Engine and Transmission
The Suzuki 500 Vinson features a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder, 493 cc engine with a single-overhead cam. It has a bore and stroke of 87.5 mm by 82 mm with a compression ratio of 10.2:1. Fuel is delivered by a Keihin CVK36 carburetor with a throttle pulley system. The 4X4 has a wet sump oil lubrication system. It has a recoil and CDI electric start ignition with "in gear" starting capability, allowing the engine to start in any transmission setting by holding the brake lever and depressing the starter button. It has a five-speed V-belt CVT automatic transmission with reverse and a two-speed high/low range subtransmission. The vehicle has a gear-driven balancer shaft and a two-wheel to four-wheel drive selectable, limited-slip front differential with handlebar-mounted push button control.
Chassis
The Vinson 500 has a tube frame made from large-diameter, thin-wall steel tubing. The body has high-clearance fenders, full-floorboards, a polyethylene protective skid plate and bumper guards. The front oil-damped suspension has independent twin A-arms with 7.09 inches of travel and five-setting, load-adjustable shocks. The rear suspension is an oil-damped swing-arm style, providing 7.87 inches of travel with five-setting adjustable shock absorbers. Stopping power is by 190 mm dual-hydraulic disc brakes in front and 216 mm single-hydraulic disc brakes in the back. The bike has 30/30W headlights on the front fenders and 5/21W taillight/brake lights, with a 40W auxiliary light mounted on the handlebars.

The Suzuki 500 Vinson has an overall length of 82.5 inches, an overall width of 46.1 inches and a height of 48.6 inches with a seat height of 33.9 inches. The wheelbase is 50 inches with a ground clearance of 9.9 inches. The machine's dry weight is 604 pounds. The gas tank capacity is five gallons. There's a front fender-mounted, 3-liter, waterproof utility box and a 4.5-liter storage box mounted on the rear of the 4X4. The aluminum wheels roll on AT 25 by 8-23 front tires and AT 25 by 10-12 rear tires.
