How to See if You Have a Traffic Ticket in Florida
by C. TaylorThe Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) maintains the driving records for the state of Florida. If you are uncertain whether you have a traffic ticket against your Florida drivers license, you can obtain online information about your driving record to verify whether a ticket is registered and the number of points against your license. Points for convicted traffic violations count toward disciplinary action such as license suspension. For example, 12 points against your license in a 12-month period will bring a 30-day suspension of your driving privileges.
Step 1
Go to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicle website. Click "Online Resources," then "driver license check."
Step 2
Enter your driver license number and click "Enter."
Step 3
Verify your identity by entering the last four digits of your Social Security number and date of birth. Click "Enter," and your the form will verify your information. If the data your entered matches their records, your driver history will be displayed.
