How to Reset My Flashpaq
by Mandy SlakeThe Superchips Flashpaq is a device that allows a user to program the computer in his vehicle; but when the device is connected, it locks itself to the vehicle's VIN number. In order to unlock the Flashpaq and use it on a different vehicle, you need to run a system update on the software. If the Flashpaq is locked, and you are not the original owner, Superchips charges a fee to reset the device.
Step 1
Browse to the Superchips website (see Resources).
Step 2
Click the "Download Software" link at the top of the website. Download and install the Superchips SC software.
Step 3
Click the "Register" button if you are registering the Flashpaq for the first time. If you already have an account, log into the account with your username and password.
Step 4
Enter the serial number on your Flashpaq if you are registering a new account. You can find the serial number on the back of the device.
Step 5
Run the update to reset the device. If you are not the original owner, the software will prompt you for a credit card for the unlocking fee.

- If the software says the device locked, contact Superchips at (888) 227-2447. A representative will give you an unlock code to enter into the software.
