How to Reset the Tire Pressure Sensor on a Toyota Yarisby David Clair
All models of the Toyota Yaris are equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system that alerts the driver when the air pressure in any of the tires falls below the recommended levels. Toyota recommends keeping the tires inflated to 32 pounds per square inch (psi). When any one tire gets low, the tire pressure warning light is illuminated on the control panel. The sensor is automatically reset when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure.
Check the air pressure on all four tires with a tire pressure gauge.
Insert the nozzle of the compressed air into the first tire that is below 32 psi.
Remove the nozzle after a few seconds and check the pressure with the gauge. Repeat this process until the pressure gauge reads 32 psi.
Check the other three tires and fill as needed until they all read 32 psi.
Drive the Yaris for a few hundred yards to give the sensors a chance to accurately measure the pressure. The light will go off once the on-board computer detects that the tires are properly inflated.
