Mine worked exactly as you described. I was able to program 3 FOBS at 1 time using the same instructions.

Check to see if your remote start 'brain' is actually connected to the horn first. Mine was not. The horn signal is the brown wire (on the 9 pin connector) and I connected it to a buzzer so I could hear it when I pushed the remote button and valet button. The brown wire sends a negative signal out (200mA) so connect the other end of the buzzer to positive 12V.

Thanks for the information I to had the same issue with my Avital Remote Start. I had it professionally done and everything was working fine for a long time until weeks later I spent $600 on this Remote Starter/ALARM. I went back to the installer and he fixed it no problem and until 11/15/2016 while raining my remote starter came on and off so instead of driving back and burning more gas I found your video and seeing how you reprogram your remote starter I did the same and PRESTO IT WORKS again can you tell me how did you figure out this fix because it was very helpful to me. I could go back to the installer and I do not get charged for it but it is time and money on gas. But please let me know thanks for sharing your time on your video.

Thanks for the vid. I found that I had to leave the driver's side open to get this method to work. It's the "Valet" button which on the 5303 has a black and black with gray tracer for the wires going to the button.
