How to Replace a Headlight on a Honda Fit
by Alibaster SmithThe headlight on the Honda Fit should be periodically checked and replaced if it goes out. Headlights for the Fit can be purchased from most auto parts stores. You need to know the part number of the old headlight, which is stamped into the plastic base of the old light in order to get the correct replacement.
Step 1
Open the hood and remove the power connector from the back of the headlight ballast.
Step 2
Pull back on the retaining spring clip on the back of the headlight.
Step 3
Turn the headlight counterclockwise and pull it out of the housing assembly.
Step 4
Install the new headlight into the housing assembly. Installation is the reverse of removal.
