How to Replace a Battery on a Ford F350
by Robert GoodThe battery on the Ford F-350 is located of the driver side of the engine compartment next to the air intake. The battery is secured to the frame of the engine compartment by bolts at the bottom of the battery's frame. If the battery is dead or won't hold a charge, then you will need to replace the battery or the F-350 won't run correctly. You can buy the replacement battery at any auto parts store.
Step 1
Open the hood of the F-350 and loosen the screws on the securing clamps on the battery using the screwdriver. Pull the wires off of the battery's connectors.
Step 2
Remove the screws that are securing the battery to the frame of the engine compartment using the screwdriver. The screws will be located in each corner at the bottom of the battery.
Step 3
Pull the battery off the frame of the engine compartment. Place the new battery into the engine compartment. Replace and tighten the securing screws. Replace the wires to the battery the opposite way that you removed them.
