How to Program a Silencer Brand Key Fob
by Megan Mattingly-ArthurFounded in 1969, the Magnadyne Corporation is a well-known manufacturer of automotive electronics. Through their Silencer Security Systems division, Magnadyne offers both stock and aftermarket automotive keyless entry systems. These systems can be used to operate the power locks on your vehicles via a small, electronic key fob. Before use, Silencer key fobs must be synchronized to your vehicle. Fortunately, programming a Silencer key fob is a simple process that can be completed in just minutes using your vehicle's Valet or Programming button.
Step 1
Locate the "Valet/Program" button underneath the dashboard on the driver's side of your vehicle. Look for a small, squarish black component with a raised red button in the center.
Step 2
Insert your key into the vehicle's ignition cylinder and turn it to the "On," "Run" or "Accessory" position.
Step 3
Press and release the "Valet/Program" button within five seconds of completing Step 2.
Step 4
Press and hold the "Valet/Program" button. The vehicle's horn will chirp or the internal lights will flash if you have successfully accessed the vehicle's programming mode.
Step 5
Continue to hold down the "Valet/Program" button. Press the button on the key fob that you want to use to operate your vehicle's power locks. The fob is now synchronized to your vehicle.
