How to Program a Mitsubishi Remote
by Matthew FortunaMost Mitsubishi cars feature keyless entry remotes that can be programmed to for your car in just minutes. You can program these remotes from the driver's seat with just your ignition key. The programming sequence can be completed with a few turns of your ignition key and a few clicks of your remote buttons. Programming will allow you to use your remotes right away on your car's doors, trunk and panic alarm.
Step 1
Locate the data port on the right side of your car's steering column, and insert your car's keys into the ignition.
Step 2
Connect port 1 and port 4 on the data port with jumper wires. If not labeled, these are the first and fourth ports from the left on the top of the data port.
Step 3
Press your car's hazard switch six times, and wait for the locks to automatically cycle to indicate that programming mode has been opened.
Step 4
Press the "Lock" button three times on the remote you would like to program within the next 10 seconds, and wait for the door locks to lock and unlock once.
Step 5
Repeat Step 4 with any additional remotes, and remove the wires to close the programming mode.
