How to Program a JVC Car CD Player Manually

The JVC stereos can be programmed to remember favorite radio stations as well as audio preferences such as bass, treble, and other specific output specifications. Setting the clock, your favorite preset stations, and your personal audio preferences are among the first tasks you will perform after installing your JVCstereo.
Step 1
Press the "Power" button at the top left corner of the stereo to turn the unit on.
Step 2
Press the "Color" button to change the color of the display. The "Color" button is located to the left of the volume control knob.
Step 3
Press the "Menu" button to switch to clock setting mode. Press the volume control knob to select the hour of the day. Press and hold the knob while turning it to change the value of the hours field. Release the knob when the correct hour is displayed. Press the knob to select the minutes. Press and hold the knob while adjusting the minutes. Release the knob when the correct minutes value is displayed.
Step 4
Press the "Menu" button to navigate to the tuner. Use the seek buttons to tune to a frequency. Press and hold "Menu" while turning the volume control knob to select the number that you wish to designate for the preset station. Once the number is assigned, press the volume control knob until the display shows "MEMORY" indicating that the frequency has been stored. Repeat the step to set up to 18 total preset frequencies.
Step 5
Press the "EQ" button to select the preset sound mode. You can choose among USER, ROCK, CLASSIC, JAZZ, HIP HOP, and POPS. Release the "EQ" button when the sound mode you choose is displayed.
Step 6
Choose USER in the preset sound mode to set a custom tone for your music. Press and hold "Menu" in the USER setting mode and turn the volume control knob to select which tone you would like to adjust. The choices are Bass, treble, and middle. Press the volume control knob when the tone you wish to select is displayed on the screen. Turn the knob to adjust the tone and release the knob when the tone is adjusted to your preferences. Turn the knob to navigate to the new tone and press the knob while turning it to adjust the tone.
