International 500 Crawler Diesel Engine Specifications

The International Harvester 500 agricultural crawler tractor featured the International Harvester BD-154 engine. This engine was a naturally-aspirated, water-cooled 154-cubic-inch four-cylinder. The engine's bore and stroke was 3.5 by 4.0 inches, and the compression ratio was 23-to-1. The engine used a 12-volt electric starter and a glow-plug pre-heating system.
