How to Install a Blower Motor Resistor on a Chevy Trailblazer

The Chevrolet Trailblazer's blower motor resistor is located under the glove box. It is held in place by two small screws that can be removed with a Philips screwdriver. Once removed, you can pull off the old resistor and install a new one in a matter of minutes.

Park the Trailblazer and turn off the engine. Use a wrench to disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

Uninstall the two cover screws under the glove box with a Philips screwdriver. Take off the cover.

Pull out the old resistor and install a new one. Make sure to remove the resistor's connector before removing it.

Reinstall the cover. Reinstall the two bolts and reattach the negative cable to the Trailblazer's battery. Close the hood.
