How to Adjust the Headlights on a Jeep Cherokee
by Lina SchofieldHeadlights maximize your line of vision while driving your Jeep Cherokee at night down dark roads and through inclement weather like fog and snowstorms. They periodically require readjustment, most commonly, as a result of being shaken out of their proper alignment because of a collision. This problem substantially reduces the driver's visibility causing a safety risk, especially to drivers transporting family members, pets and friends in the Jeep.
Step 1
Park the Jeep 15 feet away from a wall at dusk and turn on your headlights.
Step 2
Unscrew the retaining screws for the turn signal housing with the screwdriver.
Step 3
Remove the housing and look for the adjustment screws inside the middle of the headlight's mounting screws.
Step 4
Adjust the headlight screws with the Phillips head screwdriver.
Step 5
Check the wall periodically to see if you are getting closer to your desired alignment.
