How to Adjust the Dash Lights on an Avalon

by Eric Cedric

The Toyota Avalon is marketed as a luxury sedan suitable for family needs. The Avalon has four doors, trunk space, power windows and doors and has options for in-dash navigation systems and MP3 compatible stereos. The Avalon's interior dashboard lights are controlled by a dial to the left side of the steering wheel, allowing you to customize the brightness of the dashboard panel to your liking.

Step 1

Sit in the driver's seat of the Avalon and turn the ignition key to the neutral position, or turn the car's ignition on. Turn on the Avalon's headlights by turning the light barrel on the column coming out from the steering wheel.

Step 2

Turn the dashboard light dial adjustment either up or down to increase brightness on the dashboard lights, or decrease the illumination.

Step 3

Watch the lights on the dashboard until the setting is to your liking. The lights for the radio, heaters and air conditioners will also increase or decrease with the adjustments.
