How to Get Additional Keys to the Club Steering Wheel Lock
by Leonardo R. GrabkowskiThe Club is a locking safety device that helps prevent unauthorized use of your vehicle. The Club comes with two keys when purchased, but others can be acquired. Here's how to get additional keys for the Club.
Step 1
Bring one of the keys you to a lock shop or hardware store. Most hardware stores have the capability to cut keys or make copies of existing keys. The key used for the Club is not a security key--it has no chip inside that makes duplication difficult.
Step 2
Ask the service representative to duplicate the key. Most key shops and hardware stores charge between $2 and $4 to duplicate a key.
Step 3
Test the key out on your device to make sure it locks and unlocks the Club. Keep the new key in a secure location.
Tips
- If you have lost both keys to the Club, you will need to bring the device to the shop with you. A key can be cut from the keyhole, but it will cost much more than duplication.
