How to Remove Nissan Pathfinder Door Panel
by Russell WoodThe Nissan Pathfinder is one of the original compact sports-utility vehicles, and as such, there are lots of aftermarket options available. Should you want to install a new stereo, add power windows or maybe just change to a power lock system, you'll need to take off the door panels. In this case, the project vehicle is a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder, but the process is similar for other vehicles as well.
Step 1
Open the door and unscrew the door panel from the door using the phillips-head screwdriver. There are screws behind the door handle as well as underneath the arm rest.
Step 2
Pull out the power window switches and unplug the harness from the switches. Place the interior clip removal tool between the door panel and the door body, and pull it back to release the clips from the door. There are six clips holding the panel in place.
Step 3
Pull off the triangular-shaped interior panel that's opposite the mirror using your hands to release the clips, then place it to the side. Lift the door panel vertically off the door assembly and place it to the side.
