As consumers become more concerned with safety features and getting the most advanced vehicle, many car companies are releasing their own rugged but safe vans.
Chevy Express
The Chevy Express passenger van has an all-wheel-drive option that comes with anti-lock brakes. The Express also comes with front- and side-impact air bags to protect passengers from high-impact accidents. Seating options are available for up to 15 people, with removable seats to create storage and cargo space in the back. The Express features up to 261 square feet of cargo space as well as swing-out doors on the sides and in the rear. Power windows and locks are standard, as well as cruise control, a CD player stereo and air conditioning.
GMC Savana
The GMC Savana passenger van has an all-wheel-drive option and garnered a five-star frontal crash test rating for the 2009 and 2010 models. The Savana comes with a six-disk CD changer, front and side airbags and anti-lock brakes. The van is available with removable seats for storage and cargo, and rear seats come with child anchors to ensure that they do not shift during regular driving or an accident.
Toyota Sienna
The Toyota Sienna van is available in four models, with the option to add an all-wheel-drive package. The Sienna comes with adjustable captain’s style chairs in the driver and passenger’s seats, as well as removable second and third rows. The Sienna can accommodate as many as eight passengers, and it has 12-volt power outlets, a folding table between the front seats and a CD player. The Sienna also comes with traction control, anti-lock brakes, driver and passenger airbags and a battery-save feature.
