Kubota L2800 Tractor Specificationsby Ana Purna
The Kubota L2800 is a standard size diesel tractor introduced in 2004. This classic Kubota orange model is available in two versions, gear-drive or a hydro-static transmission -- HST.
The L2800 comes with a vertical liquid-cooled four-cycle diesel engine with indirect injection. Both models have a three-cylinder, 30-horsepower engine. The gear-drive transmission version comes in both 2- and 4-wheel drive models, and the HST is only available in 4-wheel drive. The fuel tank capacity for the L2800 is 9 gallons.
The towing and lifting capacity of a tractor is key to its operational value. The Kubota L2800 has a Category 1 three-point hitch and a position control lifting mechanism. The lifting capacity is 1,998 lbs.
The gear-drive transmission version of the L2800 has eight forward gears and four in reverse. The HST edition has three range speeds. Both tractor types have intergral power steering and wet disc brakes. Both have a dry-type single stage clutch and standard rear differential.
The Kubota L2800, gear-drive transmission tractor measures 110.6 inches long. The 2-wheel drive model weighs 2,359 lbs., the 4-wheel 2,536 lbs. The HST version is slightly shorter at 106.5 inches, and weighs 2,600 lbs. All L2800 tractors are 51.4 inches wide, 85 inches tall, and have a 63.3-inch wheel base.
