Ford E450 Fuel Tank Specifications

The Ford E-450 is part of Ford's E-Series -- a line of truck chassis and full-size fans. The E-450 is a commercial truck that is available in stripped chassis and cutaway models. Both the stripped chassis and the cutaway are available in 158-inch and 176-inch wheel base variations.

Fuel Tank Specifications

The Ford E-450 has either a 55-gal. or 40-gal. fuel tank. Ford recommends regular unleaded gasoline for the 6.8L engine, flex fuel for the 5.4L engine, and diesel fuel for the cutaway's 6L engine.

Powertrain Specifications

The stripped chassis and the cutaway are available in 5.4L V8 and 6.8L V10 variations. The V8 has 255-horsepower at 4,500 revolutions per minute (rpm), while the V10 has 305-horsepower at 4,250 rpm. The torque is 350 lb.-feet at 2,500 rpm, and 420 lb.-feet at 3,250 rpm, respectively. The cutaway also features a 6L engine with 235-horsepower at 3,150 rpm and 440 lb.-feet of torque at 1,600 rpm. Both models are five-speed automatics with rear-wheel drive.

Convenience

The E-450 comes standard with a tilt steering wheel and ABS brakes. The cutaway features additional standards of front beverage holders and dual front impact airbags. Traction control is optional on the stripped chassis, while the cutaway has optional remote keyless entry, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, passenger cancellable airbag, and panic alarm.

Suspension

The E-450 has standard front wheel independent suspension, power steering and dual rear wheels. The front and rear tires are 225/75SR 16.0E BSW.
